Optimal Energy connects device-level intelligence with system-level dispatch. Deploy it around a microgrid, a storage system, or a portfolio of distributed energy resources.

MICROGRID MANAGEMENT

Coordinate the whole energy system.

Bring solar, batteries, generators, utility supply, and controllable loads into one adaptive control process. Forecast demand and resource availability, then coordinate power assignments as conditions change.

CONTROL FOCUS

Balance supply and demand while accounting for power quality, equipment limits, and utility requirements.

02 / THE FOUNDATION

MAHCA intelligence.
Applied to energy.

Optimal Energy models individual sources and major loads as adaptive agents. Each agent tracks its own behavior while a shared model of the network coordinates the system. Forecasting and optimization turn those models into device-level goals and control actions.

Explore our world models
01

Predictive feedback control

Use forecasts and observed device behavior to guide the next control action.

02

Mean-field synchronization

Align local agents with a shared representation of network conditions and system objectives.

03

THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE CONTROL

Data Hamiltonians

Represent device dynamics, controls, and constraints in a common model.

Data Tomography

Use sensor evidence to update the model’s representation of the system.

Mean-field coordination

Connect each agent’s local behavior with the state of the wider network.

04 / SIMULATION & SYSTEM DESIGN

Model the system.
Then put it to work.

Optimal Energy’s simulator brings generation, storage, utility supply, and changing loads into a shared environment. Evaluate configurations and control strategies before applying them to a physical installation.

The same modeling approach supports anticipatory management during operation, connecting forecasts with the next dispatch decision.

05 / A CLOSER LOOK

Good questions.
Clear answers.

What is Optimal Energy?

Optimal Energy is Excite Energy’s MAHCA-based intelligent control platform. It brings microgrid management, battery and supercapacitor optimization, and DER / virtual power plant coordination into one product architecture.

Which resources can it coordinate?

The architecture covers solar PV, batteries, supercapacitors, generators, other distributed energy resources, utility connections, and controllable loads. Device models, control interfaces, and operating rules are configured for the installation.

How does it connect to an existing energy system?

Optimal Energy connects models and dispatch logic with device measurements and control interfaces, including SCADA-oriented integration. Implementation begins by mapping the available sensors, equipment controls, protection requirements, and operating constraints.

What does the simulator do?

It provides a configurable environment for evaluating energy-system designs, operating rules, and dispatch strategies. Its models also support anticipatory management: forecasting system behavior to inform ongoing control.

Does MAHCA require a quantum computer?

No. The scientific foundations inform the modeling and control methods. Optimal Energy’s software operates on classical computing infrastructure; it does not depend on quantum hardware.
